Neylons Facility Management is looking for staff to join our team in a Residential Care Home in Dublin 4

Part-time dinning room assistant

Monday to Thursday from 14:30 to 18:30

Flexibility required!!!

Full training will be provided


Purpose of the Role
To undertake daily cleaning of the building in line with Health & Safety Standards. The cleaner will work within a team to ensure that the healthcare facility is kept to the highest standards of cleanliness.


Job Description
The following are key areas of responsibility for the cleaner/dinning assistant:

• Be ready to serve breakfast/lunch/dinner within the time assigned by management.
• Collect trays after meals, put dirty dishes in the dishwasher, wash trays in hot soapy water and wipe trolley.
• Unload dishwasher and clean filter and dishwasher.
• Collect jugs from the resident room, wash in hot soapy water and return back to rooms daily.
• Check and clean the tea trolley.
• Check fridge and freezer temperatures in the kitchenette.
• Check pantry for daily supplies, restock containers daily.
• Make sure before filling and restocking containers are washed in hot soapy water
• Clean fridge, microwave, toaster, oven, refill dishwashing liquid, check the rinse aid in dishwasher.
• Check fridges and clean inside and out daily.
• Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells and toilets, etc.
• Dusting and washing floors and walls
• Sweeping and waste disposal
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Ensuring the toilet facilities are kept clean and supplies are replenished when required
• Organizing necessary supplies for cleaning toilet facilities
• General housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control
• Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes

Requirements:

• A can-do attitude
• Experience in a similar role
• Good working knowledge of English
• Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices
• Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks
• Garda vetting required
