Due to continued growth, Kent Stainless, Wexford are currently seeking a full-time, permanent CNC Brake Press Operator. As a CNC Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC brake press machines to produce high-quality metal components that meet our strict quality standards. This role is critical to our production process and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you will do:

• Program and set up CNC brake press machines for various production runs, selecting and installing the correct tooling (e.g., punches and dies) and adjusting machine settings for optimal performance.
• Load and align sheet metal accurately, ensuring materials are properly secured for processing.
• Monitor the bending process and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet exact specifications.
• Identify and resolve any issues with the machine or the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on CNC brake press machine.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications / Competencies you should have:

• 3 years’ experience operating CNC controlled brake presses in a mild or stainless-steel manufacturing environment
• Excellent computer literacy essential.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings and CNC programming.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and produce parts to drawing specifications
• Ability to produce parts with a high degree of precision and quality.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to adhere to safe working practice and have a good safety attitude
• Day shift work (6am – 2pm / 12pm – 8pm rotating on a weekly basis)

Preferable experience and skills

• Experience with Trutops and Solid Works
• Working knowledge of other metal processing equipment such as CNC lasers/CNC saws and CNC milling machines would be an advantage but not essential.
• Forklift license would be an advantage but not essential.
