Our client, a leading public transport provider in Ireland, is seeking dedicated and professional Coach & Bus Drivers to join their expanding team. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a bus on assigned routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
- Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Ensure the bus is clean and well-maintained, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
- Issue tickets with our ticketing machine and validate prepaid customers tickets
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and report any delays or incidents promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring the safety of passengers at all times.
- Follow directions of Duty Manager
- Keep up-to-date with route changes, road conditions, and company updates.
Requirements:
- Valid Category D bus driving license.
- Valid CPC Card
- Tachograph card
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Previous experience as a bus driver or in a similar transportation role preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for conducting routine bus checks.
- While previous driving experience is preferred, newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
