On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Database Systems Administrator with Oracle for a 12 month hybrid contract based in Dublin, Ireland. The ideal start date on this is September 2024.
Purpose of the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Database Systems Administrator with experience using Oracle. The candidate will be responsible for building SQL queries to produce business reports, performing source system analysis and maintaining a large-scale database in a production environment.

Purpose of the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Database Systems Administrator with experience using Oracle. The candidate will be responsible for building SQL queries to produce business reports, performing source system analysis and maintaining a large-scale database in a production environment.
Role responsibilities and required skills:
- Building SQL queries to produce business reports.
- Performing source system analysis to join tables and produce reports.
- Building and maintaining a large-scale database in a development environment.
- Creating scripts to generate views, procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, constraints, and packages.
- Creating reports using Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Discoverer, and BI Publisher.
- Transaction Control Language, SQL tuning, and Oracle query optimization using cost-based optimizer and other query optimization tools.
- Oracle database design & implementation of logical and physical data models.
- Controlling change release into a production environment.
- Managing SVN control version.
What we require from the candidate
- Proficiency in building SQL queries.
- Ability to perform source system analysis to join tables and produce accurate reports.
- Expertise in creating scripts to generate views, procedures, functions, triggers, indexes, constraints, and packages.
- Proficient in Transaction Control Language, SQL tuning, and Oracle query optimization using query optimization tools.
- Knowledge of Oracle database design and implementation of logical and physical data models.
- Ability to control change release into a production environment (desirable).
- Familiarity with Oracle Built-in Packages including the likes of Bulk Collect/Insert, Array Processing, and Ref Cursors.
