An opportunity now exists in South Dublin County Council for the position of Director of Services.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Director of Service fulfils a leadership role on the Council’s senior management team, having responsibility for delivery of quality services, programmes and functions within their remit, with directorates currently structured as follows:

• Economic, Enterprise and Tourism Development
• Housing, Social and Community Development
• Land Use, Planning and Transportation
• Environment, Water and Climate Change
• Corporate Performance and Change Management

Each directorate contributes to delivery of the Council’s corporate vision and strategic direction, supporting the Chief Executive in advancing the physical, economic, social and cultural life of the County and in managing the organisational structures and resources needed to deliver an extensive range of public services in a cost effective and efficient manner, while also planning for the future needs of the County.
