The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is Ireland’s first purpose-built, international conference venue, located on Dublin’s North Wall Quay. Since opening in September 2010, we have hosted over 2,000 events for a range of Irish and international clients and won 64 awards. To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are currently seeking an Event ICT Support to join our team at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) on a full-time permanent basis.

Key Objective
To provide a fit for purpose service to both internal corporate users and to external clients of The CCD by ensuring that service desk requests are dealt with in a timely manner and escalated to the senior members of the team as and when necessary.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Event/Client Support
- Support, troubleshooting, resolution of clients, exhibitors, and delegates issues
- Configure infrastructure based on event/client requirements
- Liaise with external clients to identify requirements and raise service orders
- Delivery of client events
- Assessing client's needs, creating Quotations and orders on the ERP
- Sourcing outside service for clients when necessary

Provide first line support for : -
- PCs
- Laptops
- Mobile devices
- Printers
- o Microsoft Office products

Data Cabling and Patch Management

Setup new workstations for new staff members

Install software on PCs and Laptops
- Setup and support mobile devices
Service Desk Management
- Manage and monitor tickets logged on the ICT Service Desk
- Escalate calls to other members of the ICT Department
- Afterhours & Weekend support for client events and system maintenance
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong customer service focus
- Strong team-working and communication skills
- Attention to Detail and organisational skills
- Exposure to working with PC hardware and software
- Troubleshooting and resolution skills
- A keen interest in technology
- Understanding of mobile devices
