CJ SHEERAN is Ireland’s largest manufacturer and recycler of timber packaging and pallets, providing a premium quality, sustainable and accredited packaging solution to Ireland and the UK’s diverse network of pallet consumers. We are currently undergoing exceptional growth and are seeking a Forklift Operator to join our busy pallet production plant in Mountrath, Co. Laois.
This position operates a two-cycle-shift from Monday to Friday. Shifts will rotate between:
· Shift 1: 06:00 – 14:00
· Shift 2: 14:00 – 22:00
In the event of shift change as much notice as possible will be provided to minimise disruption and allow for schedule adjustments.
Key Responsibilities:

The role will include but not limited to:
Operate counter balance forklift to move, load, unload and store products/materials in designated locations
Inspect and maintain forklifts to ensure safe operating procedures
Follow safety protocols and company procedures while operating machinery
Track and document inventory in compliance with company policy and procedures
Perform general warehouse duties as required, such as manufacturing of pallets, labelling, wrapping and strapping pallets in preparation for dispatch

Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience desirable
Valid counter balance forklift certificate essential
Available and can commit to work two cycle shift
Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
Working knowledge of computer production programs preferable
Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic
An excellent team player
Strong communication skills
Can-do attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From €15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
