CJ SHEERAN Group is Ireland’s largest manufacturer and recycler of timber packaging and pallets, and sawmills, providing a premium quality, sustainable and accredited packaging solution and sawn timber products to Ireland and the UK’s diverse network of pallet and fencing consumers. We are seeking an experienced driven Part Qualified Accountant to assist Senior Management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data.

As well as sawn timber products from our sawmills in Coolrain.
The position will be based in Mountrath, Co. Laois. The role will cover tasks across multiple companies in our group, with focus on Coolrain Sawmills.
Key Responsibilities:

Daily & weekly production and sales reports
Update and analyse weekly KPI reports
Updating costing models and review with sales and production teams
Product margin review
Debtors & Creditors reporting
Agree key suppliers to the weighbridge data before passing to AP
Prepare & post month end accruals additional to AP accruals
Prepare & post month end journals (Depreciation, Payroll, Prepayments schedule, sales rebate)
Stock Control
Month End review & reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts
Manage month end cut off & deadline
Prepare month end reports
Bank reconciliations
Bank lodgements
Assist Creditors Payments
Capex completion for review by senior management
Maintain fixed asset register
Intercompany reconciliation & cross billing
Revenue Returns
Introduce and manage IT improvements
Adhoc reporting and projects

Skills and Experience:

More than 3 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing
Part qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA
Strong numeracy and competent accounting skills
Experience with computerised accounts packages
Excellent organisational skills, detail-oriented and proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
