Post Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Administrative Officer (AO3) within the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will work in marketing, events and communications, in support of the School’s Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, events and other outreach activities, and the management of the School’s social media accounts and websites, as well as other general administrative support duties to the School, as may be directed by the School Manager and Head of School. This is a part-time role (0.6 FTE) within the School of Education.
As one of the largest professional schools in Trinity College, the School of Education is committed to engaging in teaching and research at all levels of provision, from initial teacher education, graduate/postgraduate education and research, and continuing professional development for teachers and other educational professionals. Our courses reflect the position of Trinity as a premier University well-established on the world stage, with a tradition of scholarship spanning more than 400 years. Our graduate programmes for educators are situated at the forefront of international best practice and attract students from around the world. The School is dedicated to undertaking high quality research that permeates our teaching. The results of this scholarly activity have gained international recognition in both academic and professional communities, and contribute to the understanding and practice of contemporary education nationally and internationally.
With 550 students across 2 undergraduate, 7 postgraduate programmes (representing 23 different strands) and a range of CPD courses reaching hundreds of education practitioners each year, we are the top ranked School of Education in Ireland and in the top 70 in the world.
The Marketing, Events and Communications Officer will take responsibility for the School’s outward facing promotional activities and within the School of Education. The Marketing, Events and Communications Officer will work alongside administration and academic colleagues and will complement the School’s mission to deliver excellence in teaching and research. The role will work with course directors to promote the School’s suite of programmes and will assist in the delivery of events, conferences and seminars. The Marketing, Events and Communications Officer will be responsible for the management of the School’s websites and social media accounts. The post holder will report directly to the School Manager.
Post status: Permanent
Hours of Post: Part-Time (0.6 FTE)
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€44,910 - €56,383 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
