Operations Executive

About the role:
Flogas Enterprise Solutions is seeking to recruit an Operations Executive to assist with the overall data analytics in both the gas and power markets served by FES. The role is a mix of market and data analytics coupled with process orientated tasks. As part of the operations team the role will also interact with customers, market operators, networks operators and regulatory authorities. Working to support the sales team, interacting closely with Customers on their needs and submitting forecast customer demand and price bids across multiple markets, these roles offer an exciting career opportunity with a dynamic and ever-changing environment for capable and driven individuals.
Please note this role will initially be based in our city centre office, but will relocate to our brand new Head office at Dublin Airport Central in the New year.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate holds a third-level degree (minimum 2:1 classification) in a discipline with substantial numerical, analytical, and/or financial content or an equivalent qualification. They possess a sound working knowledge of MS packages and are comfortable with various IT packages and software applications. Advanced MS Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables, are highly desirable. The candidate has demonstrable experience in data modelling, managing large data sets, and analysing large volumes of data to identify anomalies and trends. They have knowledge of the Irish Gas and Electricity industry, including the Single Electricity Market (SEM). Key competencies include initiative, high productivity levels, professional integrity, a results-driven approach, problem-solving skills, clear and concise communication, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Verifying and submitting power trades for FES' demand and generation portfolio daily across multiple markets.
- Complete analysis on the gas and power market and identify any market trends.
- Deliver and fulfil bespoke procurement strategies for FES' industrial and commercial customers, working closely with customer and account manager in the design phase, and executing once agreed.
- Carry out best in class Gas and Power trading, through implementation and execution of trades with the overall aim for 100% accuracy.
- Ensure that trades are executed in a timely manner as per customer request/strategy, and processes.
- Carry out daily/monthly trades/nominations as part of FES' overall gas and power management while liaising with counterparty to ensure trades are matched prior to commencement date.
- Liaising with gas and electricity network and system operators to resolve customer queries and issues.
- Reporting of customer service activity/issues/site losses and additions on a monthly gas and electricity reports, ensuring that they are timely, accurate and relevant.
- Use expertise on gas and electricity markets to support Sales team on a regular basis. Analysis - prepare any bespoke analysis (Microsoft excel reporting tools) that is required by the Sales team or customers.
- Invoice Reports - prepare bespoke invoice reports for large/multisite customers.
