Part-Time Bookkeeper & Accounts Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper & Accounts Assistant to manage our day-to-day financial tasks.
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible work hours while utilising their accounting and bookkeeping skills.
The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring our financial systems are in good order.
Other administrative tasks make also arise as you assist business owner and management. You must be available during normal business hours to assist staff, customers and communicate with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Financial Transactions: Accurately input and categorise daily financial transactions including expenses, suppliers invoices and sales.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist with managing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring timely collections and disbursements.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Data Entry: Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the processing of payroll, ensuring all employee records are updated and maintained.
- Expense Tracking: Manage expense reporting and reimbursements for employees, verifying accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with external accountants or tax professionals by providing necessary financial data for tax filings.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial/accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (sage).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Familiarity with payroll and tax processes is an advantage.
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping are preferred.
- Flexible working hours (2-3 hours per day).
- Ability to work remotely (if applicable).
- Competitive hourly rate.
Pay: €15.00-€20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
