Personal Assistant required in the Navan area

Duties:
· Assisting the person with a disability to live their fullest life,
· Personal care tasks, domestic chores, meal preparation, shopping, driving.
· Support with getting out into the community,
· Accompanying the person to hospital appointments.
Requirements:
· Reliable, dedicated, compassionate person, with ability to adapt to fluctuating needs of the person with a disability
· 2 contactable written references,
· Driver’s License class B, valid in Ireland, ability to drive a stick shift car.
· Eligible to work in Ireland,
· Some knowledge/experience of disability issues would be good but isn’t essential.
· Occasional flexibility required with hours of work.
Hours:
20 hours with possibility of additional work (2 days per week)
Terms and Conditions:
Rate of pay: €14.23 – €15.82 per hour depending on experience with additional antisocial, Sunday and Public Holiday rates (basic rate x 1.5 on Sunday, basic rate x 2 on Public Holidays, basic rate x1.25 for anti-social hours).
The successful candidate will be employed by the Irish Wheelchair Association. This post comes under the Leader Service of the IWA. This means that the person with the disability is the line manager and they direct their own service
