About the post:
The objective of the post is to provide administrative support and to contribute to the implementation of the new Transforming Healthcare Education Project (THEP) curriculum.
Job Responsibilities will include:
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director of Curriculum and Project Manager.
  • Manage project schedules, coordinate meetings, and maintain calendars for the team.
  • Facilitate communication between different departments involved in the project.
  • Organise and draft reports as requested.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
  • Facilitate project implementation by working with the project team to User Acceptance Test (UAT) the required new IT systems to be utilized as part of the project delivery.
  • Organise and manage project documentation, ensuring timely updates and secure storage of reports, presentations, and other materials
  • Handle internal and external communication with project stakeholders, ensuring smooth and efficient information flow.
  • Support the coordination of accreditation processes
  • Performing such other duties as may be required
Person Specification
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following
  • strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to focus on and produce results and prioritise objectives
  • an effective communication style appropriate to audience and situation
  • the ability to deal effectively with sensitive / personal information appropriately and sensitively
  • ability to make decisions and meet deadlines
  • strong computer skills – including MS suite applications, project management software (Asana, Trello etc.)
  • attention to accuracy and detail
  • willingness to adapt to new tasks and evolving responsibilities as the project progresses.
  • the ability to work on one’s own initiative as well as in a team environment
  • strong commitment to own continuous personal and professional development
  • an understanding of the RCSI organisation structure in relation to undergraduate student teaching, exam formats and overall key objectives of a medical school environment is desirable
  • experience and a proven track record in a similar role would be an advantage
