Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

QDSM are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our expanding team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Attend the Project Handover meetings to receive a full project package handover and develop the QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) documents.
- Carrying out design review and value engineering exercise based on the project documentation and record all findings.
- Assist in producing a Programme of Works for the project.
- Work alongside the Procurement Manager to review the Plant Packages prior to ordering.
- Assist in Co-ordinating mechanical services and builders work drawings in conjunction with the Site Manager / Project Manager.
- Management and delivery of the Quality Assured Doc's.
- Document Control. This shall include but is not be limited to Drawing's, RFI's, Tech Sub Log, Schedules & QA Packs
- Assist site management with project variations were deemed necessary.
- Assist in the O&M development and delivery.
- Commissioning process: Assist in the commissioning programme production & revisions / organising Specialist Sub Contractor & Supplier attendance / management of Specialist Sub Contractor & Supplier commissioning / Uploading of certs to relevant File Sharing platforms and O&M.
- The Engineer will follow & adhere to QDSM internal templates & procedures for all works carried out, in line with ISO standards 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Desired Criteria:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
- 5+ years' experience as a minimum with a Mechanical Engineering & Design background.
- Proficient in CAD and BIM.
- Excellent IT and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills as well as the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience of project controls and the full project lifecycle.
- Be a motivated and highly dependable individual.
- Experience in energy systems and energy saving analysis is advantageous.
- Client facing experience is advantageous.
