Surehaul is a family owned business setup in 1977. We operate 3 main dealer franchise workshops. Urlingford, Co Kilkenny. Slieverue, Waterford and Clonmel, Co Tipperary. We also operate a repair workshop in Ballyragget, Co Kilkenny. We sell Mercedes and Renault commercial vehicles. We sell both heavy trucks and vans. We also carry out trailer maintenance, primarily in our Ballyragget workshop.
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Trailer Mechanic to join our team at our Ballyragget Workshop. The role primarily involves the maintenance and repair of milk tanker trailers, with some work on HGV trucks as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in the field who is looking to work in a well-established and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGV trailers and trucks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles.
• Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs to a high standard.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, including parts used and repairs conducted.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.

Requirements:

• 1 year of Experience in HGV trailer maintenance
• Must have valid work authorization in Ireland
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid HGV truck licence is an advantage but not essential.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts during the day.
• Monday to Friday, with regular weekend work.
• After 3 months you may be required to join the on-Call rota. This involves carrying a phone for a week and responding to breakdown callouts. It is approximately 1 week every 6 weeks and you will be paid extra for this.

Pay: €32,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
