Concierge/ Lobby Ambassador

Job description
As a Concierge / Lobby Ambassador, you’ll be the primary point of contact for visitors, guests, tenants, and others that require information, assistance, or directions. The primary duty is to support the Security and Property Management team to achieve the following:
1. Build a welcoming and collaborative environment.
2. Improve tenants, guests, and visitors’ overall experience within the building.
Job Requirements
Concierge/ Lobby Ambassador:
o A requirement for this position is to comply with the Property Management’s 20 points of Hospitality Standards. (The 20 Point Standards will be provided at the interview).
o Attend to the lobby and be an on-site point of contact and be readily accessible.
o Ensure the lobby’s cleanliness meets the Property Management’s and QBS standards and notify onsite janitorial supervisor to respond and address conditions.
o Greet visitors, tenants, employees, and guests with a warm, respectful, and welcoming demeanor.
o Learn the names of regular tenants and guests with the goal of building relationships to improve their experience from a customer service perspective.
o Anticipate tenant, visitor, and guest needs before they arise using relevant information collected to enhance and personalize their experience.
o Multitask without compromising on quality.
o Escort guests to the Lobby Desk when necessary or assist visitors with checking in utilizing the visitor management system.
o Be familiar with Manhattan regarding restaurants, nightlife, transportation, theater, and cultural institutions.
o Make notifications and log entries as requested or required.
o Answer any questions from tenants, visitors and guests related to the building including wayfinding, policies, and procedures, etc.
o Perform any duties as directed by QPS supervisors or Property Management
Administrative Support:
o Provide administrative support at the Lobby Desk and Work at direction of Company (QPS) and client (Property Management Office).
o Lobby Desk responsibilities may include: assisting with logging in guests and assisting them to their destination.
o Make entries into required computer systems and logs.
o Communicate issues, errors, or discrepancies to the Company and supervisors immediately.
o Open, create and close Work Orders (WOs); retrieve and input all relevant info.
o Must be able to work in a standing position for several hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
o College graduate with a four-year degree preferred, but not required.
o Customer service and/or hotel experience preferred.
o Must have strong organizational skills.
o Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking skills.
o Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
o Proficient in basic computer skills.
Availability
QPS maintains operations 24/7/365 and is an “essential business” in the New York area. The position requires flexibility and an ability to work a business schedule that may include working extended hours. Corporate buildings are open on weekends, holidays, and/or during emergency situations, therefore accessibility to answer questions by email or phone during off hours in accordance with QPS’ policies is expected. The ability to work this schedule is an essential function of the job.
