A major Japanese manufacturer whose products impact the lives of millions of patients globally. This is an historic Japanese company who have taken major steps to transform and globalize their business, changing mindsets; internal processes; and technology on a global scale.
The Role

• You will be driving the company's move to implementing new, enterprise-wide, platform level manufacturing IT solutions. There are plans to overhaul the ERP, MES, and PLM systems in particular, and your role will be to drive this major technology transformation in Japan, leading two direct reports to achieve these goals.
• To achieve this, you'll need to ensure that stakeholders in different technical teams are aligned on the roadmap and delivery of manufacturing IT systems - you'll need to be a strong communicator and build relationships, to influence senior stakeholders globally.
• You'll be frequently communicating with local Japanese staff in manufacturing facilities and working with a very international IT team - you'll be using both Japanese and English daily.

Your Skills

• Business level Japanese and English as a minimum, are mandatory for this role.
• This role would suit someone from an IT Delivery background (large scale project / program management) who has worked in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in the regional or global deployment / rollout of any packaged systems related to manufacturing IT - for example, ERP / MES / PLM.
• Leadership of a small team would be an advantage for this role.
