Hokkaido Tourism Management (HTM) is an independent asset manager and operator in Niseko International Alpine Resort, Hokkaido Japan. The IT Product & Delivery Manager role is pivotal to driving the continued success of HTM and its brands.


The Role:
We use a range of off the shelf and in-house IT systems to run operations and allow our front line and back-office areas to function and excel.


We have an in-house Development Team and System Specialists to build specific systems and integrations.


We are looking for a Product and Delivery Manager to act as the bridge between our operational teams and our Development activities. You will guide the delivery of development work that meets the business needs of HTM across a wide and interesting scope of work where you will be talking with both the developers and end users on a daily basis.


About the Role:

• Report to the CEO and/or Group Operations Manager.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand and specify organisation and development needs in project specifications documents and tickets.
• Plan solutions that encompass UX and UI design, public, online and internal applications, integration with 3rd party systems and a range of business operations including ecommerce, hospitality, accounting, HR, transport, stock and resource control.
• Organise and prioritise work for the Development and System Specialist Teams
• Ensure appropriate QA and UA testing is carried out.
• Work with stakeholders to meet timeframes and adjust priorities as required.
• Communicate with stakeholders regarding deployment of new features, including arrangement of training, preparation of documentation on deployment timing.

Requirements:

• Passionate about systems, problem solving and empowering teams to deliver excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and achieve objectives and hit timelines.
• Ability to lead and manage 3-4 direct reports.

Great to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Experience in reading and/or writing code.
• Experience in ecommerce, operational or hospitality businesses.
• Experience in IT Product Management.
• UX and UI design skills.
• Japanese language skills.

Employment Package Details


Employment Period: Ongoing full time year round


Contract Value: ¥7000,000 to ¥11,000,000

(The above remuneration will be divided by 14 and paid monthly with two annual bonuses.)


Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan


Working Hours:

• 40 hours per week (5 x 8 hour shifts, shift times vary by season)
• 120 days off per year
• Sick leave: 5 days
• Annual paid leave: 20 days per year
