Job Overview
As an X-ray Technician, you will play a crucial role in the medical field by performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Duties
- Conduct X-ray imaging procedures following proper protocols
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and sonography equipment
- Position patients correctly for imaging procedures to obtain the best images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Assist radiologists and other healthcare providers in interpreting images for diagnostic purposes
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures
Requirements
- Knowledge of nuclear medicine, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques
- Experience in urgent care or Level I Trauma Center settings is beneficial
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations using X-ray technology
- Familiarity with CT scanning and sonography procedures
- Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent infections
- Ability to apply appropriate radiation safety measures during imaging procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
