To support our growth, we are currently looking for a:

Compliance Officer

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. Reporting to the Head of Support, Administration and Control, you will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters.


Key Responsibilities


Internal Control

• Support first-line risk owners in consistently applying the internal control framework to identify, evaluate, manage, monitor and report all material risks
• Collaborate with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts resulting from internal control assessments, ensuring effective corrective actions.
• Assist in the design, implementation, documentation, assessment and monitoring of the internal control framework
• Monitor of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and maintain the operational risk register
• Report on the status of the operational risk

AML

• Assist in reviewing KYC files
• Oversee delegates in the field of AML
• Update internal AML policies and procedures, in line with the latest regulatory updates

Policy Development

• Develop, implement, and review company policies based on the applicable governance framework

Risk Management

• Identify and assess areas of significant business risk and help implement risk management strategies.
• Actively seek standardization and automation to enhance and continuously improve the design and operating effectiveness of the controls
• Promote a culture of strong risk awareness across the company.

Documentation

• Maintain and update compliance documentation, records, and reports.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry, if possible in a Big4.
• Experience in writing internal policies, documenting processes, risk and controls
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent or strong command of English is a must.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance software.
