ING Luxembourg is looking for a full-time Integrated Compliance officer to support the current team.

Job description

The Integrated Compliance (IC) team is a team within Compliance and it is responsible to perform several activities that support the other Compliance units (i.e., Financial Crime Compliance, Organizational & Conduct Compliance, Compliance Quality Assurance) by:

Coordinating and managing compliance transversal activities and projects,
Executing governance and control framework tasks,
Performing management information and data related activities,
Contributing to communication initiatives,
Acting as a coordinator and gatekeeper for key internal and external reporting and managing contacts with internal (e.g. Corporate Compliance, Corporate Audit Services, Finance, IT) and external (e.g. regulators) stakeholders.

As part of the Integrated Compliance team, our purpose is to to support compliance risk professionals to execute on their daily tasks most effectively and efficiently. This part of the function lays the foundation for the way we conduct our compliance risk management globally.

Launch, steer and coordinate programs across Compliance as well as execution of change projects that cannot find their way within the Business as usual in order and to support the other Compliance units in managing the full set of Compliance risks.

The Integrated Compliance Team proactively interacts with other Compliance units in requesting information and providing support for a set of activities aimed at keeping the Compliance department functioning at its best.

The IC team will consist of 2 team members as part of the Compliance Department. You will hierarchically report to the local Lead of Integrated Compliance team.

Your missions:

As IC Officer

You support the implementation of the Compliance Risk Management Framework; e.g. Horizon Scanning, Risk Identification, Risk Assessments etc
You help teams and contribute to have a good quality on risk management framework, monitoring and reporting: Compliance related risks, controls, issues and events in the ING risk management tool (i Risk/IBM Open Pages);
You advise on different Compliance Risk Management topics (SIRA, OCRA, Chart, Compliance RAS …)
You participate and address for compliance the transition to more risk-based, data driven risk management
You demonstrate to support the One Compliance function through reporting that is consistent with group wide requirements;
You contribute to internal or external reports (Annual reports, Compliance Risk Update, NFRD, Bank reports, etc);
You manage data analytics in our risk identification and reporting processes;
You are supporting the proper description and implementation of global processes at local level;
You act on all regulatory/audit findings with regards to reporting and management information;
You participate to the coordination, writing and review of compliance reports : local, group or regulator reporting;
You work with different tools: i Risk (IBM Open Pages), Cognos, Microsoft Excel, Access, Power Point etc.

The IC team is working together based on knowledge and expertise, as well as the skill set needed to best perform the job.

The team is working with key internal stakeholders and offers an environment which provides a global overview on how the relevant IC requirements and controls are embedded within the business and provides an opportunity to manage relationships with external stakeholders, regulators and supervisory institutions.

The IC team would translate into practical actions the IC directions at Business Line and/or Group Compliance, where applicable.

How to succeed

You have e 3-5+ years’ experience in Non-Financial Risk/Compliance activities such as conducting risk (self) assessments, key control testing; working with risk frameworks, issue management, non-financial risk reporting;
You have very strong analytical results in order to translate qualitative subjective risks into quantitative forward-looking objective metrics able to distil key information out of overflow ;
You are able to make judgement calls ;
You prioritize supported by extensive risk management experience allowing to make assessments without having sufficient background on particular risk areas ;
You have an adequate understanding of the use of data within ING ;
You have a strong understanding how to mobilize different internal and external stakeholders in coming to functional steering (where applicable) ;
You challenge subject matter experts on their prioritization and quantification of risks;
You are able to speak up to senior risk managers and defend consistency in the approach ;
You have a university degree or equivalent ;
Excellent writing skills and command of English
You have an excellent level of French and English (verbal/written)
