FPGA Application Design Engineer

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:45 PM

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced FPGA Application Expert to join our team in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. This is a replacement role for an employee moving to other aviation industries. The ideal candidate will possess the technical skills to design and implement FPGA-based systems and have knowledge in the aerospace sector, particularly with ARINC or MIL-STD-1553 modules. This role is key to supporting a critical project secured from TUSAS Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities:
- FPGA requirements capture and analysis: Understand and document system requirements for FPGA design.
- Designing FPGA internal architecture: Develop and implement FPGA's internal architecture based on project needs.
- Design, simulate, and verify: Design, simulate, and verify digital circuits and high-performance systems using FPGA technology.
- Primary design and implementation: Work on FPGA designs for applications such as digital sensor data processing, video processing, control systems, and interfacing with external devices (PCIe, I2C, SPI, etc.).
- Technical documentation preparation: Prepare clear and detailed technical documentation for FPGA designs.
- Expert-level technical support: Provide advanced technical support in resolving FPGA design and application issues.
- Motherboard design expertise: Focus on motherboard design for aerospace applications.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in FPGA application design, simulation, and implementation.
- Technical Expertise: Experience in FPGA design tools like Xilinx and coding in VHDL/Verilog.
- Equipment Experience: Working experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers for testing and debugging.
- Vendor Experience: Proven experience working with FPGA vendors such as Xilinx or Lattice.
- ARINC or MIL-STD-1553: Prior experience in developing systems using ARINC 429 or MIL-STD-1553 protocols is a must.
- Experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proven track record of working with motherboard and circuit designs for critical applications.
