- Gather financial data from various departments or subsidiaries to create a comprehensive budget for the entire organization for the upcoming fiscal year. This task requires a solid understanding of the company’s financial performance, strategic goals, and current market conditions.
- Generate monthly reports that provide senior management and board members with insights into the company’s financial performance relative to its goals and objectives. This involves analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and presenting findings clearly and concisely to support decision-making.
- Update the annual budget each quarter by revising projections based on actual performance and changes in market conditions or business strategies. This requires close collaboration with department heads and business unit leaders to gather accurate and current financial data.
- Perform variance analysis to compare actual financial performance against budgeted or forecasted figures. This process helps identify discrepancies, understand their causes, and support management in making necessary adjustments to meet financial targets.
- Ensure the accuracy of all recorded financial transactions by reconciling balances across various accounts, such as bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. This includes investigating and resolving any discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Calculate the company’s tax liabilities in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. This task requires a thorough understanding of tax rules, including deductions and credits, to ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting.
- Candidates must hold ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or equivalent qualifications. These prestigious certifications demonstrate a high level of expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation. Equivalent certifications from other recognized accounting bodies are also acceptable.
- Candidates should have at least three years of experience working in an audit firm. This experience provides a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and auditing standards. It ensures familiarity with financial statements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance, all of which are crucial for the role.
- Candidates must be well-versed in financial modeling, which involves creating mathematical representations of financial scenarios to support decision-making and forecasting. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for building complex financial models, conducting detailed data analysis, and presenting findings effectively.
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
