Global Planning System
About you
- Assist Senior FP&A Manager in preparing monthly forecast for Global Planning System (GPS) Process for the whole Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement (using Indirect Method).
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Controller and Supply Point to update Gross Sales to Cost of Goods Sales (COGS) by SKUs, including sales volumes.
- Prepare & Analyse Net Sales Variance Analysis, SKU/Brand P&L, ROP Bridge.
- Coordinate with Commercial Finance to report Innovation & Renovation (Inno/Reno) Financial, A&P spend by Nature and Customer Reporting analysis.
- Update RF templates for SEA (South East Asia) team as requested including Hedging requests (Quarterly) and Targetik (Quarterly).
- Analyse and explain the variances between actual results and GPS for decision to land the month results with GM & FD.
- Ensure actual closing of financial results is in line with GPS and any deviation or variances are well explained.
- Track and report MBU productivity and P&L efficiencies projects, and to track progress on a monthly basis.
- Types of projects include PRGM (Profit and Revenue Growth Management), Supply chain cost improvement, minimising inventory write offs and optimization of Advertising and Marketing Spend.
- Business Case management on any Productivity Projects.
- Obtain updated Transfer Prices (TP) from Operations Finance Controllers (Ops FC) of Supply Points (SP) and ensure the Standard Cost Price (SCP) and margins uplift (L500 margins) are correctly reflected in GPS plan by SKUs.
- Liaise with Ops FC of SP to explain and rectify variances in SCP between actual invoiced and planned.
- Ensure all monthly L500 margins from SP are correctly validated by SKUs.
- Liaise with Supply Chain (SC) Controller to analyse and validate PPVs in actual if any.
- Liaise with Planner from SC Team and validate the value of purchases for forex hedging purposes.
- Forecast potential impact of stock revaluation and explain variances between actual and planned.
- Track monthly expenses of over or underspend in Marketing & Advertising Expense based on approved budget.
- Assist commercial team to clear any clarifying questions in relation to Marketing & Advertising Expense.
- At least 5 years of experience in FP&A and Business Partnering.
- Experience from FMCG and MNC.
- Good team player and results orientated.
- Proven ability in multi-tasking, prioritizing workload, high attention to detail, follow-through and meticulous (mandatory)
- Technically skilled and mathematically inclined with a passion at crunching numbers; and thereafter the ability to convey stories from the numbers is a plus.
- Highly independent and resourceful.
- Strong influencing ability and drive to win multi-functional collaborations.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- High level of Commercial & Business Acumen coupled with logical thinking.
