Job Description:

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Type of hiring: Contract
Accountabilities:

• Coordinate and participate in activities to facilitate the implementation, review, and certification of the Environmental Management System (EMS), including committee meetings, preparation and review of EMS-related work process documentation, and liaising with assets and functions to advise on the implementation and modification of EMS processes as required. This also includes management review inputs and internal/external audits.
• Conduct and facilitate environmental studies and assessments, such as Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Post-EIA, Post-Incident, Waste Characterisation, and Carbon Footprint Assessments, for projects and operations as required by both internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of environmental sustainability performance reports, profiles, summaries, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders, including participation in environmental data verification and audit/assurance processes.
• Coordinate and take part in environmental-related incident investigations, as well as emergency preparedness and response efforts.
• Support the preparation of Environmental Sustainability content and deliver communication and training to internal and external stakeholders as necessary for various purposes, such as awareness, briefings, and stakeholder engagement.
• Facilitate and coordinate the implementation of environmental improvement initiatives to meet compliance obligations and sustainability goals with assets and functions as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in science, Environmental Management, or Safety, Health, and Environment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management.
• Proactive and motivated.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent auditing, organisational, and project management skills.
• Proficient in computer literacy.
• Fluent in both spoken and written English.
