Software Engineer

Job Title: Software Engineer (.Net Fullstack Developer with CAMSTAR/MES/Mendix experience)
Location: Penang, Malaysia
Experience: 5+ years
Notice Period: 30-60 days
Position Overview:
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will work within the R&D organization, focusing on the Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) portfolio, including semiconductor and electronics suites. You'll work in an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and document new and modified functionality in the Op Center Execution platform
Implement functionality using tools like Designer and Portal Studio
Develop and maintain components ranging from simple to complex features
Write unit tests and maintain multiple branch software code
Assist in build, release, and patch creation processes
Investigate and resolve reported defects
Perform code reviews and provide guidance to other developers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support

Required Skills/Experience:

5+ years of experience in C++/C# development and testing commercial software
3+ years in web-based application development and architectures
2+ years in Scrum Agile environment and test automation
Strong skills in SQL (Oracle/SQL Server), web services (WCF), and scripting (Java Script, Angular, CSS)
Experience with version control tools (TFS/Git), D3JS/SVG, and unit testing frameworks like NUnit
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud solutions (AWS)
Familiarity with virtualization (VMWare/Hyper V)
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with CAMSTAR/MES or Mendix
Manufacturing operations experience (Semiconductor/Electronic manufacturing is a plus)
Visual C# programming and software testing knowledge
Familiarity with Op Center Execution Core application

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
