Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

  • Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties

The Administrative and Program Support Rover position provides administrative, data analysis/report, program/project coordination, or management support to various sections at post. In addition to administrative and program support, this position provides cleared escort responsibilities. This position addresses short-term assignments as needed by post including staffing gaps, ad hoc projects and/or short term workload increases. Post HRO supervises the Rover position but the incumbent will receive work guidance from supervisor in currently assigned areas.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
Requirement: For the experience and education, applicants must meet either Option 1 or Option 2 to qualify.

Option 1:


  • Experience: Minimum of five years office administrative and management experience is required.

  • Education: High school diploma is required.

Option 2:


  • Experience: Minimum of three years office administrative and management experience is required.

  • Education: Completion of two years of college education is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:


  • Knowledge of office management and core tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and computer literacy in order to perform assignment and do basic troubleshooting on information technology issues.

  • Skill in working with people from varied backgrounds, education levels, and cultural surroundings.

  • Professional judgement to make decision within areas of responsibility to move projects forward and achieve section goals on time.

  • Strong professional communication skills in writing and speaking. This includes ability to draft, format and edit correspondence, report, memo and other documents as required.

Education Requirements:
Option 1:

  • Education: High school diploma is required.

Option 2:


  • Education: Completion of two years of college education is required.


Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: Fluency (Speaking, Reading and Writing) English is required. (English proficiency may be tested)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to organize functions, multitask, write and communicate effectively orally are required.

Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.

** This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
