Job description

For the Moroccan subsidiary, based in Casablanca, EDF Renewables is looking for a :


BUSINESS DEVELOPER (M/F)


Your main mission consists of growing EDF Renewables turnover through the development of new offers of services and contracts in order to win new deals. You will report to the Director of Business Development and your mains tasks will be are as follows:

• Contribute to the analysis of the market and to the definition of the overall strategy to be pursued in order to develop, both the Moroccan and the regional portfolio of projects.
  
• Manage Bids for domestic and international tenders. If bids are conclusive, lead projects up to financial closure.
  
• Manage the financial close of projects under development of different technologies: wind, solar and BESS, by leading different contracts negotiations: PPA, EPC, O&M, financing contracts...etc. in coordination with the supporting teams in France.
  
• Lead the development of greenfield projects in the Moroccan private market within the framework of the law 13-09, in different aspects : commercial, contractual, financial, permitting... etc.
  
• Within the frame of the Green H2 Morocco Offer, and in close coordination with the management and supporting teams in France, support the implementation of EDF's Green H2 strategy in Morocco, in particular the oversight of the greenfield H2 Project EDF is developing in Morocco.
  
• Seek new partners and any other portfolios and/or projects acquisition opportunities at various stages of completion, and lead contracts negotiation of these acquisitions.
  
• Build-up good and long-term relationships with interlocutors, develop and maintain your network, source of good potential.
  
• Represent your company in different professional associations and trade unions, at meetings and conferences in order to enhance EDF Renewables presence and image.
  
• In close coordination with management in Paris, implement the development of EDF's Green H2 strategy in Morocco, in particular the oversight of the Pre-Feed and Feed phases of a greenfield site in the south of Morocco.
  

Compétences et qualités recherchées

Graduated from an Engineering or a Business school, you have at least 5 years of significant experience as a business developer of large-scale projects in the renewable energies.

You have already managed bids for IPP tenders « large utility scale » and successfully completed the financial close for solar (including thermal solar) and wind technologies.

You have a good knowledge of solar and wind technologies and you are familiar with its specificities which must be taken into account in all aspects of projects development (technical, commercial, financing, contractual, etc.)

You have good communication skills, you are autonomous, commercial good-tempered and able to manage priorities.

You are familiar with project finance techniques and comfortable with business plans.


Moreover, negotiation and Project Documents are no longer a secret for you.

Finally, your ability to work as a team and your good interpersonal skills will be the keys to your success in this position.

You are comfortable with MS Office (Excel and Power Point in particular).

You speak English and French fluently. Arabic (particularly Moroccan dialect) would be a real plus.

This position requires occasional business travel aboard, including to project sites in Morocco and in North Africa, as well as for business meetings in the Middle East, France, and sometimes, Asia.
