WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
In this pivotal role you will act as the vital connection between our in-house software development and our cloud-/IT infrastructure. You and the team play a crucial part in designing for scale and maintaining the smooth operation of our IT-services. Your nurturing mindset contributes significantly to enhancing customer experience and ensuring security. Collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and stakeholders, you actively shape the transition to a cloud-native platform. As a valued member of an agile team, you will inspire the team with modern software best-practices such as Git Ops, CI/CD and other fantastic tools and services.

WHAT YOU BRING
You bring enthusiasm to redefine the standard in numerical weather prediction and thrive on the challenges of high-performance computing with GPUs in a cloud environment. With a strong background of hands-on experience in establishing and managing production systems at a cloud provider, ideally overseeing data pipelines with GPU workloads, you showcase expertise in infrastructure as code, utilizing tools like Terraform, Helm and Docker to build and manage Kubernetes clusters.

You know all about cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Computing and/or Azure, demonstrating a robust understanding of networking, security and system administration. You will be the advocate for modern architecture and security best practices. We are all about knowledge sharing and therefore find it important that you are eager to help and support your colleagues. You are a trouble shooter, signal opportunities for improvement and are always on the lookout for security awareness , scalability and cost-effectiveness.

We are looking for candidates who reside in a time zone no more than +2 or -2 hours of Central European Time (CET) to ensure effective collaboration with our team based in the Netherlands and Spain.
