Are you a medior candidate (3-8 years of experience) with expertise in programming, data management, and analysis? Do you live in the Netherlands, and are you able to work at the office in Amsterdam?As a Credit Risk & Underwriting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's Credit Risk Model, leading underwriting capabilities, and ensuring efficiency in credit line assignments. This role focuses on establishing an automated credit risk model, maintaining underwriting policies, performing credit analyses, and collaborating closely with sales and risk management teams. You will need a strong technical background and an operational understanding of credit underwriting to build and manage a scalable and accurate credit risk model.

- Quickly identify and assess credit opportunities, ensuring swift and accurate decision-making.
- Utilize data analytical skills to collect and supply data for developing, monitoring, and adjusting credit limits.
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Accounts Receivables to manage credit risk and exposure.
- Create and present analyses to stakeholders and leadership, explaining variances and evaluating impacts.
- Analyze and evaluate new data sources to enhance credit management strategies, particularly for underwriting and line assignment.
- Make informed judgments based on credit checks and internal communications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of data governance principles. Expertise in programming for data management and analysis.
- Understanding of credit underwriting and risk management in fintech, banking, or financial institutions.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Ability to conduct complex data quality analyses and derive actionable insights.
- Strong decision-making skills, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Technical proficiency in programming and data analysis.
- Familiarity with industry best practices in trade credit and financing.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with teams across different time zones.
