ABOUT THE JOB AND ABOUT THE TEAM:

Within our Service Laboratory we are looking for a Coordinator Dyes and Chemicals. In this position you will maintain the dyestuff and chemicals database. You will coordinate the process and the information supply regarding the Vlisco chemicals and dyestuff. They are needed for our Vlisco fabrics.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As the D&C Coordinator you are responsible for giving advice on the usage, application and specifications of the chemicals within the Vlisco group. Based on the analysis of the managed information.

• Manage and gather the information from key players in R&D and production and follow up with them to preserve the process flow. For example gathering specifications, research results and safety information sheets. You keep the information up to date and accessible in data bases (Excess, Magic) in structured way;
• Coordinating the release process of new chemicals. Keeping track of new chemicals in the plant and all the administrative aspects of replacement of old one;
• Contact person for the internal key stakeholders (R&D, HSE, Procurement, Warehouse, Production) and external suppliers;
• Actively search for required chemicals and information with current and possibly new suppliers;
• Improve the internal information structures and generate work instructions, create process flows and summarize project meetings;
• Uphold health and safety in high regard and work closely with the chemical safety expert.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• HBO/Bachelor level of thinking (chemical knowledge) with a relevant education (Applied Science, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Life Science, Engineering, etc.);
• A pro-active mindset, strong communicator and persistent in following up;
• Experience in chemicals, chemical safety and administrative work;
• You are structured, a team worker and accurate;
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
