Within the Wholesale Banking Enterprise Architecture Center of Expertise, we are looking for an enterprise architect for Lending, one of the products at the heart of our strategy. You will be part of our team of architects together driving ING Wholesale Banking’s enterprise architecture. Together with your team of lending domain and solution architects you work with Lending business and IT areas to further develop ING Wholesale Banking Lending Services in line with our strategic objectives.

Roles and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the evolving architecture design of Wholesale Banking Lending

• Defining and communicating architecture that is adaptive to change
• Driving the domain’s road map by breaking down desired (business) themes into epics and features, that can be further refined into implementable stories.
• Owns the integration of the services and platforms across the domain, optimizing functional and non-functional requirements and reducing complexity and technical debt
• Extending and maintaining knowledge on domain specific business knowledge as well as on IT technology to identify opportunities to improve.
• Aligning with other domains and change initiatives
• Organizing and actively maintaining a network of Architects, Engineers, Data Scientists, Designers, Customer Journey Experts, Program Managers, Product leads, IT area leads, Product Owners, Delivery Squads and Management
• Functional and hierarchical steering of the WB Lending domain and solution architects
• Act as trusted advisor and communicator to all relevant stakeholders including the regulator

• You are an architect with strong interpersonal skills, expert in designing technical architecture and understand the potential of emerging technologies.

• You have at least 5 years of experience as an IT enterprise architect or similar (IT) function.
• A master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field/equivalent work experience.
• Ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational leaders from business and technology.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex architecture topics to various audiences ranging from business, technology and other architects on all levels in the organization.
• Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Lending domain knowledge: origination, in-life & credit rating, front office automation and reliable back-office technology, complex lending.
• Experience in working in a highly regulated environment where we need to comply to both global and local regulations.
• Curious mindset: you have a broad range of interests, up to date with architecture methodologies, delivery and service management, technology, people management, and market development.
