Make paying online easy and safe for everyone
If you’ve ever paid other users on platforms like Marktplaats, e Bay-Kleinanzeigen, and Gumtree, or booked a holiday home via Nature.house or Micazu - chances are you’ve already met us. Our fintech platform powers marketplaces. Not just by arranging payments - it also allows marketplaces to accept, hold and disburse funds for their users. That makes our solution a bit more sophisticated, yet ready to grow internationally.
As our finance employee controller, you provide critical expertise and support to help us successfully expand. You manage financial risks and maximize performance. You work closely with our executive team to develop a financial strategy that aligns with our company's overall business goals. This involves forecasting financial performance, identifying growth opportunities, and developing budgeting and forecasting models. You also manage our financial operations, including accounting, cash management, financial reporting, and internal controls. You report directly to our CFO and the two of you together build and maintain relationships with investors and other external stakeholders.


As our finance employee, you provide critical expertise and support to help us successfully expand. Working with millions of vendors and transactions worth billions each year means we rely heavily on our Finance Team. In our dynamic finance team, you will play a crucial role, providing support to our Financial Controller. You will ensure that monthly tasks are completed smoothly and manage the day-to-day financial processes. 3 other tasks you will perform:


+Credit/debit administration: Timely execution of vendor payments and customer collections.
+Budget monitoring: Monitor the budget and cost center management.
+Support financial audit: Provide data and manage audit processes for annual audits.

Your track record shows
+ A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
+ At least 2/3 years of experience in finance/administration (fintech is considered an advantage).
+ You love to puzzle: collecting data from different sources is your thing.
+ Your spreadsheet skills are as good as our payment solutions.
+ Fluency in Dutch and English is both necessary.
