This is what your assignment looks like
Being a part of Basic-Fit’s Second Line of Defense you'll be optimizing and maintaining the IT internal control framework (ICF) across Basic-Fit. In this position you will report to the IT Quality Officer, you will be part of the IT Office within IT and form the second line of defense together with the Data Protection Officer, Compliance Officer and the IT Security Officer
Your Responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with the first line of defense to monitor the timely and effective execution of their IT ICF key controls aided by ITSM and collaboration tooling
• Evaluate processes and controls by conducting control design workshops and control self-assessments, collecting and analyzing control evidence, assessing control deficiencies and following-up with the first line of defense
• Continuous improvement of the operational effectiveness of the IT ICF e.g. by translating incidents into improved controls
• Monitoring the status of internal and external auditors’ findings and follow-up with the business.
• Active contribution to the risk management process for information security risks
• Evaluates compliance with Basic-Fit's existing IT policies and procedures and proposes changes if necessary
• Evaluate, in close collaboration with the business ICF officer, the effectiveness of IT application controls.

• Mindset: Positive, pragmatic, self-starter with a resilient, can-do attitude; comfortable handling multiple perspectives and setting up new structures.
• Experience: 2-3 years in IT audit, internal control, IT risk management, or similar roles, preferably in regulated industries.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, policy writing, change management, and proficiency in English (Dutch is a plus).
• Technical Knowledge: Hands-on experience with IT General Controls (ITGCs), IT frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2), IT infrastructure, and audit tools.
• Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s in cybersecurity or business administration; preferred certifications include CISA or CISM.
