COSCO SHIPPING Lines (Netherland) B.V. is a container shipping company with increasing capacity and belongs to the world top 3 global carriers. Through dozens of trade lanes, over 100 of ports worldwide are connected. Several weekly services from Rotterdam to e.g. Far East and the U.S.A. are handled at our local office. We arrange COSCO SHIPPING Lines sales and marketing activities and arrange full service concerning all (container) vessels to the Netherlands.

Operator Inside Sales North-Atlantic
The Americas team deals with requests for quotation (RFQ) from Dutch importing and exporting companies for the trade lanes between Europe and North and South America. The team liaises with our Global Sales and Pricing teams in Hamburg and Shanghai to make successful offers and is afterwards responsible for correct contract implementation and account management.


Activities / Goals:

• (Assist) in selling COSCO SHIPPING’s North Atlantic product in the Dutch market to new and existing customers.
• (Assist) in carrying out market research and (new) client development.
• Together with our colleagues in Hamburg and Shanghai make sure that terms (both rates and side terms like free time and credit) offered are correctly filed and implemented.
• Act as focal point for the customer within the COSCO organization regarding operational and administrative items and liaise with (overseas) offices to resolve any issues.
• (Support) in providing management information on support levels and contract fulfilment.

Experience, education and competencies:

• MBO+ working and thinking level in logistics with around 5 years’ experience in a sales and pricing position. Ideally having experience with the North Atlantic trade lane and the governing FMC regulations.
• Fluent Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent knowledge of Ms Office, Excel and Power Point.
• Good negotiating and communication skills.
• Good in keeping the overview, prioritizing tasks, and adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to manage data and prepare reports.
• Accurate Team player.
