- You are an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher.
- You have, or will shortly, acquire a master’s degree in the field of (chemical) engineering, physical chemistry, physics, bio engineering, food processing, or related area.
- You have a creative mindset and excellent analytical and communication skills.
- You have a good team spirit and like to work in an interdisciplinary and internationally oriented environment.
- You are proficient in English.
- You hold a Degree that gives access to doctorate studies and you do not hold a Doctoral (Ph D) degree.
- At the time of selection by the host organization, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organization for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to their recruitment. Short stays, such as holidays, are not taken into account.

- An IELTS-test, Internet TOEFL test (TOEFL-i BT), or a Cambridge CAE-C (CPE). Applicants who have not had secondary and tertiary education in English can only be admitted with an IELTS-test showing a total band score of at least 6.5, internet. TOEFL test (TOEFL-i BT) showing a score of at least 90, or a Cambridge CAE-C (CPE).
About the department
