Introduction:
Principal Project Manager will be responsible for the initial phases (such as IFB and Price Proposals), planning and cost estimation, implementation, and management of complex projects, under the direction of the Head of NDWC Project Management and in coordination with the Chief NDWC as the typical Project Executive, but largely on own initiative.

Skills, knowledge, experience required:

• A Master's degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a related discipline with 5 years’ post-related experience;
• OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years’ post-related experience;
• A recognised project management qualification (such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), project management techniques based upon PMI knowledge area or Agile) and at least 8 years’ recent extensive experience in project management of major communication and/or command and control/management information system for a large organisation (lack of formal project qualification may be compensated by a demonstration of expertise in the domain);
• Experience in applying multi-discipline engineering and management techniques in the acquisition of complex communication and information systems.

Desirable:

• A recognised IT service management qualification such as ITIL Foundation, ITIL specialist courses;
• Experience and certification in Agile project management (Agile PM, Scrum);
• Extensive experience with project planning toolsets, preferably Service Now.

Duties/role:

• Managing time, cost, and quality of all facets of the assigned project(s);
• Managing requirements in coordination with the customer;
• Managing and motivating project team(s) through clear guidance and assignment of work.
