In view of further growth of the company, Genetwister has a vacancy for a

System Administrator

to join our team in Wageningen, The Netherlands.

YOUR POSITION
The System Administrator carries out tasks related to the installation, maintenance and support of
Genetwister’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and equipment used in the research- and
office environment. These tasks include installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting
technical problems, contributing to data safety, performing back-up operations and providing user
support. You will work closely with and report to our experienced System Administrator. You will also
work closely with the Bioinformatics & Software Development team that performs research activities
by applying cutting-edge technologies to analyze and visualize complex and large bioinformatics data.
There you will support Software Developers with development, maintenance, and monitoring of
Genetwister’s microservice infrastructure.

YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor in Information Technology, or similar

Experience (2+ years) programming with an object-oriented language

Experience with container orchestration, microservices architecture and CI/CD tools is desirable

Experience with Linux, Microsoft-AD, Microsoft 365 and other network-related fields

Self-starter who is eager to learn and gain work experience in a company with internationals

Hands-on mentality

Pragmatic, flexible and pro-active

Comfortable speaking English

Capable of analysing and resolving complex technical challenges

A team player who likes to work in a cross-disciplinary team
