About the role
CARTERS Rotorua is seeking a seasoned Account Manager with an established track record in sales, account management and new business development.
You'll be an absolute hunter with a strong understanding of the sales process with compelling achievements in maintaining and increasing market share - the result of pure tenacity in building customer loyalty, and identifying opportunities for growth through prospecting, networking and relationship building.
Your existing customers would describe you as someone who makes an immediate impact, who understands their needs and provides highly beneficial solutions and outcomes when it matters the most.
You will also value the importance of working as part of a team to achieve the overall goal of providing an expectional service to our valued customers in the building and construction industry
On the job
You'll have autonomy and flexibility to share your time hunting new business while managing your call cycle ensuring results driven engagements with customers on building sites, identifying opportunities and understanding your customers' builds and anticipating what they need next.
You'll balance your time mapping progress of multiple projects while developing and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure we provide complete solutions and packages for customers.
You will be heavily involved in the entire sales process, collaborating with internal teams around stock availability, delivery times and pricing to ensure customer needs are met and issues resolved in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be a natural when it comes to customer service and sales as well as a true hunter. You will also possess the following qualities:
- Solid planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects on the go
- A proven sales and relationship management track record
- An eye for emerging markets
- Highly self-motivated with exceptional work ethic
- Strong commercial adaptability and agility
- Solutions-focused
