Position Summary:
As an Accountant at Angel Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for managing our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with New Zealand tax regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support our growth.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant New Zealand tax laws, including income tax, GST, and PAYE. Prepare and file tax returns.
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
- Payroll: Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and preparing payroll tax returns.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Audits: Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Financial Advisory: Provide financial advice and support to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a small business environment.
- Strong knowledge of New Zealand tax laws and regulations (IRD).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
