The NZ Blood Service has sole responsibility for collecting, processing and distributing blood and blood products in New Zealand. Through the generosity of other New Zealander's, we are able to help save lives. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organisation that really does make a difference!
This is a diverse role which includes front line reception together with a wide variety of administrative office duties.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to establish good relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Strong attention to detail, exceptional record keeping skills with accurate typing and data entry.
- Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and cope with interruptions
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to build productive new relationships with both internal and external clients from a variety of backgrounds
- Be able to work both with direction and independently.
- Strong customer service skills - face-to-face and on the phone.
- Display strong written and verbal communications skills and have the desire to improve yourself and add value to the organisation.
- Be passionate about providing amazing customer service.
It is essential that you have an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills as well as the flexibility to be rostered to work 8 hour shifts rotating between the hours of 7am and 7.30pm. Occasional weekend/statutory holiday duties may also be required. Full training and support will be given.

In addition to our vein to vein service in transfusion we also provide national services in organ transplantation, cellular therapies and tissue banking.
