About the opportunity
Whareroa is one of our largest sites. Along with a 7-hectare distribution centre and 1000 employees, our site boasts a total of 11 plants which includes four milk powder plants, two cheese plants, a cream plant, an anhydrous milk fat plant plus a whey protein and casein plant. We have the capability to process an impressive 14 million litres of milk per day in peak season.
Joining us as a Receptionist/Administration Assistant you’ll kick start your career along many potential pathways within Fonterra. You’ll be joining a busy, proactive site team to support the ever changing environment of a large manufacturing site.
As the face of our Whareroa site you will be providing reception cover and exceptional customer service to site visitors and contractors. You’ll be an integral part of our Support team, providing smooth and efficient administration support for site inductions, the assignment of security cards, stock ordering, inbox management, light fleet management, assistance with administration projects along with supporting with events and organising seamless site visits for our shareholders and customers alike.

This is a full time permanent opportunity, Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 4.00pm
About you
We are looking for an engaging and approachable professional who has a passion for supporting others. You’ll have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and be a self-starter with excellent time management skills.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Three years plus previous reception and administration experience
- Tech savvy computer skills, particularly within the MS Office suite, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus and collaborative attitude
- Reliable, strong work ethic along with outstanding organisational and multi-tasking skills.
- Demonstrated self-starter attitude with the ability to use initiative effectively
- Can adapt to changing work priorities
