Position: Assistant Accountant
Location: Mount Maunganui
Status: Monday to Friday office-based role
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our Finance and Administration team at our main office in Mount Maunganui. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller with timely and accurate provision of management reporting, assistance in preparation of financial and other analytical data, and supporting senior management with accounting matters.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:

Assist with the timely and accurate provision of management reporting.
Assist with the preparation of financial and other analytical data.
Support senior management with accounting matters.
Provide coverage for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll as needed.

Qualifications & Attributes Required:

Tertiary qualifications in accounting and/or related field, with working towards or intending to work towards CA/CPA
2-5 years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of statutory financial accounts.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a customer-focused service orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
