The Auckland Fish Markets is home to some of our most loved quick service but exceptional food experiences - Lobster & Tap, Bang Bang Kitchen, Market Galley, and the market's watering hole The Wreck. Think of Hawker markets in Singapore and Malaysia… Your local old school Chinese takeaway… A luxe-shack dedicated to premium Canadian wild caught lobster in a buttered bun. A great mix of Eastern food, Western food, old favourites and future classics. Beers on tap, craft beers on ice, cocktails, hard sodas and a great variety of NZ wines.
The Opportunity
We are searching for a dedicated Kitchen Hand for our Market Galley venue. Ideally you will have previous kitchen hand experience, the ability to communicate effectively in a fast paced environment, great work and team ethic, the right to work in New Zealand and the ability to work flexible rosters and weekends.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- The overall cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen at all times
- The operation of your appointed kitchen section
- Preparing and cooking food
- Quality execution of all food offerings
- Assisting in the execution of stock management including, ordering, receipting, storing, and rotation
- Adhering to tasks set out by senior team members
