The role: Butcher
You will be responsible for:
- To prepare meat including removing bones, trimming fat, cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size for display or for orders.
- To prepare crumbled cuts of meat and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts.
- To operate machines for grinding, mixing, mincing and tenderising meat
- To select and prepare meat to produce products
- To make seasonings and pickles by mixing some ingredient such as salt, spices etc.
- To operate sausage filling machines and cooking kettles and vats
- To advise clients on the use of meat
wage range: $32.00 – 36.00
To be successful in this role, you are required to have:
- A relevant NZ certificate Level 4 or high qualification, or
- 3 years relevant work experience
- New Zealand local relevant work experience is preferable
- A great work ethic – passionate, hardworking, efficient and honest
- A strong desire to learn and better yourself.
- A team player
- A can-do attitude
