About Us: Vintage Village Cafe Limited is a beloved cafe offering a unique dining experience, blending vintage charm with modern cuisine. We pride ourselves on exceptional service, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Café Managers to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The positions are based at 21 Kelburn Parade, Kelburn, Wellington.
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with chefs to plan and create menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability.
• Planning and organizing special functions, ensuring smooth execution and meeting client expectations.
• Arranging the procurement of goods and setting prices, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget.
• Maintaining accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions, ensuring proper inventory control.
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and maintaining cleanliness, functionality, and a suitable appearance.
• Engaging with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service, addressing feedback to improve overall experience.
• Selecting, training, and supervising both waiting and kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and professional service.
• May take reservations, greet guests, and assist with taking orders when necessary.

Key requirements:

• Work & Experience Requirements:

-Diploma or higher in cookery, hospitality, hospitality management, business, business management, etc. OR
-At least three years of relevant experience.
-(Candidates can apply if they are meeting either the qualification or the work experience requirements as mentioned above).

• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of leading successful teams.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for delivering a high-quality dining experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle challenges effectively and make informed decisions quickly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• High attention to detail, especially concerning health, safety, and food hygiene standards.
• A genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a creative approach to menu and service development.
