Client Specific Support Worker

We are offering the opportunity for you to join a small team of support workers, providing care across 7 days / week for a high needs' client.
If you have NZQA Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification and enjoy supporting clients with complex needs, we would love to hear from you.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of the support worker role
- Have an NZQA Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification and enjoy supporting clients with complex needs
- Communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform all aspects and skills within the support worker role in line with best practice.
- Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community
- Supporting clients with showering, dressing, mobility, prompting medication, compression hosiery application, housework, and meal preparation
- Liaising with colleagues regarding client care and wellbeing
- Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits.
- The hours available include 3 separate 2 hours visits per day and an 8-hour sleepover visits which would include hygiene, meal prep, transfers to bed, and repositioning across the 7 days.
- A commitment to being available to work weekend days is required.
- Be professional, honest, and reliable, and friendly in your approach.
- Be able to maintain professional boundaries with clients.
- Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position.
- Hold a full New Zealand drivers' licence and have your own reliable transport.
- Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Have received at least two covid19 Vaccinations and be able to provide evidence of your vaccination record.
