ABOUT THE ROLE


As a key member of the External Relations team, you will play a role in protecting and enhancing the reputation of the Ballance group. The Communications Specialist supports the External Relations team to deliver on its strategy to enhance the organisation's reputation, engage stakeholders, and support business objectives.

• With a focus on driving internal and Shareholder communications, you will also get involved in developing and implementing effective communication plans to support business initiatives.
• Further responsibilities include supporting issues management, government relation, social media, corporate affairs and proactive PR
You will have the opportunity to support consent processes and ESG activities.

ABOUT YOU


You will be highly motivated and outcomes-driven, be process-driven with excellent attention to detail. You’ll be able to build strong relationships easily across the organisation and be play a role in a high performing team.


To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications studies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong attention to detail with top notch proofreading capability
• Ability to influence across an organisation
• 5+ years in a communications, public relations, or related role
• Experience in stakeholder management and excellent writing capability
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a varied portfolio of responsibility.
