Adiaar Holdings pvt Ltd is looking to recruit two Continental Chefs for the Equinox Bar and Restaurant in Dunedin.
Job Description may include:
Assisting in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
Assisting with the management of health and safety
Assist with the budgeting and cost control
Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices and food safety standards
Monitoring portion and waste control
Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Create innovative and contemporary dishes while preserving the rich Flavours and essence of traditional cuisine.
Maintain a smooth work flow, ensuring timely food preparation and strict adherence
to New Zealand food safety and hygiene guidelines.
Train and mentor junior staff members, sharing culinary knowledge and skills to
maintain consistency and elevate the team's expertise.
Uphold impeccable personal hygiene and grooming standards, setting a positive
example for the entire kitchen team.
Skills and experience required for the role:
At least three years of relevant experience
Able to pass the criminal and drug check if required
Physically fit
Excellent communication skills
Able to work in the weekends including evenings and late nights
The Continental Chef should be well versed on cooking steak dishes and operating
Ovens and other Cooking equipment.
