Coordinator Volunteerism Projects - Wellington - Fixed Term

Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role:
The Coordinator, Volunteerism Projects is responsible for supporting the team through maintaining records, project documentation and reporting, monitoring and tracking of project milestones, and working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will support the smooth running of the Volunteerism team’s 2 key projects:
Volunteer Engagement Model – The project seeks to strengthen the relationship between Fire and Emergency NZ and volunteers, and bring a greater level of consistency to the agreements, constitutions, and rules that govern volunteer brigades, so together we can best serve our communities.
Volunteer Voice - This project will make steps towards a more meaningful and consistent representation of the volunteer voice in organisational projects and decision-making processes.
This is a fixed term position until 30th June 2025. There will likely be some travel involved to assist with workshop delivery, and engaging volunteers across the motu.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role:
Jump into this fixed term position using your understanding of the project environment and excellent coordination experience. You will have excellent relationship building skills and will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders. It would be an advantage to have experience working with volunteers, or a strong understanding of volunteerism.
To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will have:
- Proven experience providing high quality coordination support in a project environment
- Strong Computer literacy within the Microsoft suite, using MS project or similar tools
- Experience with financial administration and reporting
- The ability to create collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people
The salary range for this role is $81,524 - $90,583 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
